Geodesic dome assembled from low cost tubular steel and nut and bolts form a exhibition hall created for Swiss watch maker Jaeger Le Coultre.

The blue mood lighting from inside showing thru the translucent dome cover is clearly visible in this night scene.

Unfortunately the nuts and bolts fastening the steel tubes are not so visible as the picture is taken with a Motorola handphone model MotoKRZR K3M.

Low Cost Geodesic Dome For Exhibition


Typically geodesic domes are constructed from an assembly of steel rods joined by hexagonal golf ball like joints with screw threads.


This geodesic dome, use in a outdoor exhibition by Swiss watch maker Jaeger Le Coultre outside the Takashima shopping center uses steel tubes flattened at the ends. These are then fastened using high tensile steel bolts and nuts.


This whole dome is cover in a white plastic material.


Two domes are joined by a passage way which serves to enlarge the reception area for guest before leading them to a smaller side door on the side of each dome.


LED lighting project on the white ceiling create a pleasing effect.


The dome is supprising spacious inside.
